Do food delivery apps work in San Juan del Sur?

Why there is no app

  • San Juan del Sur is a town of a few thousand people. The economics that put a delivery app in a city do not reach a place this size.
  • Almost everything local runs on WhatsApp — restaurants, hotels, tour operators, drivers. It is the default here in a way it is not in North America or Europe.
  • The upside is that you are messaging a person, not a dispatch algorithm. Odd requests get an actual answer.
