Vehicle and machinery transport in Nicaragua

Anything heavy, wheeled or awkward tends to be bought in Managua and needed somewhere else. Getting it there is its own problem, and it is not one a delivery fee covers.

Delivery from C$184 in town and C$276 to the outer beaches. Every fee is agreed before we set off.

A vehicle prepared for a long-distance transport job

What we can quote for

  • Cars, quads and buggies, running or not.
  • Generators, pumps, compressors and workshop equipment.
  • Building and site machinery within what our vehicles can safely carry.
  • Anything else heavy and awkward — describe it and we will tell you plainly whether we can do it.

What we need to know

  • Weight and rough dimensions. These are the two numbers that decide whether a job is possible at all.
  • Whether it rolls, drives or has to be lifted, and whether there is loading help at each end.
  • Both addresses, including how a large vehicle actually reaches them. A narrow lane or a soft track changes the whole job.
  • Photographs, if you have them. Five seconds of pictures saves twenty messages of description.

How we price and what we will refuse

  • Quoted per job after we understand the load. There is no rate card for this and anyone quoting one before seeing it is guessing.
  • Condition is photographed before and after, so nothing about how it arrived is a matter of memory.
  • We turn work down. If a load is beyond what we can carry safely, we say so rather than take it and hope — which is the answer you want from anyone moving something valuable of yours.
