Sunday Funday is the pool party that has been a fixture of San Juan del Sur weekends for years, and for plenty of travellers it is the reason the town is on the route. Before it starts

Check the organisers’ current details yourself — dates, venues and tickets change, and we do not sell or confirm any of it.
Eat properly first, and drink water through the afternoon; the sun does as much damage as the drinks.
Take a small amount of cash, your phone and sunscreen. Leave passports, cards you do not need and anything precious where you are staying.

Getting home

Book the ride home before the party, not at the end of it, especially if you are staying in the hills or out at the beaches. We confirm the time and price in writing.
Go home with the people you came with, in a car whose driver and price you already know.
Taxis have no meter, and the end of the night is the worst time to negotiate. Agree the fare before you get in.

The morning after

Order water, oral rehydration drinks and ice before the night ends — Blink delivers until late, not in the morning — so they are there when you wake up.
Food from the Blink kitchen comes out in the evening; groceries and drinks from the store travel with it in one delivery.
If you are moving on the next day, a private driver can pick you up at your door and take the bags too.
